Natural Environment Services

It is suggested that children who are eligible for specialized education services receive those services in their natural environment. A natural environment is where children spend most of their time, such as at home, a daycare, a preschool, or a grandparent’s home.

Our staff will work with you or your child’s caregivers by teaching techniques to promote skills development. We have found that natural environment services are most beneficial when families are prepared to learn, eager to participate, and able to schedule concentrated time to work with their child and the teacher.

Center-Based Services

In some cases a child may benefit from a specialized classroom or a social setting with peers at the parent/child classes offered at the Children's Developmental Center. It is also possible that your child may benefit from the use of specialized equipment available at the Center during occupational, physical, or speech/language services.
